A Birthday Splash and A Call to Action
Wow! Monday's video received over 10,000 views and 250 comments across platforms. It's motivating to see the community resonate so strongly with the issue. Whether or not they know the details of what transpired, they want a pool.
On the lighter side of things, today was my birthday. And in the whirlwind of it all, my family convinced me to take a breather—in the form of a swim.
Thanks to your suggestions after the last video, we headed to Firstenburg Community Center in Vancouver. Forty minutes of driving round trip, and only an hour of public swim, but the kids had an absolute blast. Their first dip all year.
Now I’m going to whisk my family away on a long-promised vacation to see loved ones. But amidst the relaxation, I’ll be researching and strategizing.
Your support this summer has been invaluable. And now with just about 10 weeks until ballots drop, it’s almost time to rally our growing grassroots movement.
So for those eager for positive change, ready to band together, committed to building a brighter Camas—I've got news: we're organizing fun in-person events.
Details soon but when the time comes, we’d be honored if you'd join us.
And if you want to help organize (in any capacity you can) fill out the form below!
OK. That's all for now. Thank you for being part of this journey.
