Hey, it’s Ry.
What a whirlwind weekend! From city council town halls to more social media setbacks, the resilience and commitment of this community continues to shine. Even as the cozy rains return. Let’s dive in and look at the week ahead.
A Night to Remember: City Council Town Hall
Firstly, a heartfelt thank you to the ~30 attendees of the recent City Council Town Hall. Whether you were there in person or in spirit, your support’s monumental.
The night was a live example of civic engagement. Special shoutout to folks like Lori and Gary, long-term residents, and Tony and Kristen, relative newcomers, for showing up. Your voices resonated and your questions left a mark.
Remember, this is just the beginning. Your active engagement and participation is the untapped, under-leveraged resource that will help shape Camas’ future.
So feel proud. We’re learning a ton and you’re helping us be the change we seek.
Fighting the Good Fight: Social Suspensions
We're facing challenges, but they're only making us stronger. While my ND appeal was granted, other members of our group now face 15-day suspensions.
Rationale seems unclear and inconsistent. So let’s err on the side of caution and kindness. Because every attempt to silence us just triggers a boomerang effect.
Today we’re louder, more united, and more determined.

So whether you've been with us from the very beginning or are just now joining in, thank you. Your presence makes a difference to all of us.
See you soon, or sooner.
P.S. what’s your favorite fall drink?
